1/The Bitcoin ‘halving’ is officially 10,000 blocks away 📈

The Bitcoin halving is one of the most anticipated events in crypto. It happens every four years, and the next one is set to take place on April 18.

After the halving, Bitcoin miners’ rewards are cut in half - hence the name.

This reduces the supply of new bitcoin - and if demand doesn’t change, it should push up the price of bitcoin.

That’s at least what’s happened after every halving in bitcoin’s history: it’s been followed by a huge rally.

Like clockwork, the price of bitcoin has skyrocketed following a halving.

And now that we’re entering Phase 2 of the bull market - where altcoins outperform Bitcoin - we’re in for a hell of a ride.

2/ The flippening of the Penguins 🐧

In the last bull market, the Bored Ape Yacht Club became one of the most valuable NFT collections.

In fact, this bad boy sold for $3.4 million in October 2021:

Now it looks like the apes are making way for the Penguins.

I’ve talked about Pudgy Penguins and their lower-priced cousins Lil Pudgys for a while now.

Since then, they’re up ∼2.5X.

And it looks like they’ll soon flip the Bored Apes to become the new standard blue-chip NFT collection (outside CryptoPunks):

But there’s an interesting arbitrage to be had…

The Bored Ape has its own cheaper little brother collection - the Mutant Apes. They’re roughly 5X cheaper than Bored Apes.

But Lil Pudgys are ∼10X cheaper than Pudgy Penguins today.

It’s possible that Lil Pudgys move much higher soon to close their valuation gap relative to the expensive collection - in line with the Mutant/Bored Ape gap (5X).
