π Earn $20 in BTC for deciding: Bitcoin OR Ethereum?
and market wisdom from a modern-day Einstein
GM everyone,
It's Monday, and the market has turned green for long enough to make us feel glimmers of hope after a disastrous 2022.
So I don't know about you, but I'm ce-le-bra-tin'.
Of course, all the crypto chiefs who went into hibernation over the last year have slowly resurfaced, and as always, the proverbial crypto question has emerged on the scene once again:
Which is a better investment - bitcoin or Ethereum?
Bitcoin and Ethereum are like the OGs of crypto. They're the biggest, most established protocols with the strongest network effects and the longest history of sustained success.
So if you could only choose ONE, which one would you pick?
I want to hear what YOU think, but first, to give us some food for thought, we're gonna get help from the one and only - Balaji Srinivasan.
β Task: earn $20 in BTC for answering: BTC or ETH?
If you're a normal human being who doesn't spend 5 hours a day on Twitter, you might not have heard of Balaji Srinivasan.
Balaji is a technologist, former CTO of Coinbase, general partner at a16z (the crypto VC), and all-around just a really smart guy. His former boss at a16z described him as "Einstein, if he had the Internet."
That's no small compliment from the guy who essentially sparked the internet craze of the 1990s.
Luckily for us, Balaji is a prolific content creator. He's very active on Twitter and on a handful of podcasts - including the Tim Ferriss podcast, on which he answered the question we all want the answer to: BTC or ETH? What's it gonna be?
So your task for today is to listen to Balaji and then summarize what he says in your own words.
You can, of course, listen to the whole 5-hour discussion (or you can read my summary here) but for now, here's the task:
Step #1: Listen to this short extract from the Tim Ferriss & Balaji podcast
Step #2: Summarize Balaji's answer and copy it into this form (make sure to include your public bitcoin wallet so we can pay you):
Bonus: in the answer form, we've added a section where you can tell us what YOU think is the better investment between the two. Be creative, and feel free to tell us what you really think.
And remember, you don't have to agree with what Balaji is saying. The point isn't to agree - it's to learn to think about this with better mental tools and understanding.
The best submission will win $20 in BTC.
Tomorrow is TikTok Tuesday, so get excited because it's brand new and will be awesome.
Speak to you then,
Alex.
