🔥 Crypto's new buzz

& our favourite resources from this week

GM everyone. This is 2036, the newsletter that pays you.

Today is Favorite Friday, where we share with you some of the resources we most enjoyed this week.

So if you're looking for some sweet content to dig into this weekend, this is your list...

#1: A Beginner's Guide to Canto (Bankless)

We recently analyzed a bunch of 8-figure wallets on-chain (we'll share with you the full results next week, btw) and came to a surprising finding: a large number of them hold Canto, the native token of the Canto chain.

Canto's been buzzing in enough newsletters and on Crypto Twitter that it became worth digging deep.

It's an EVM-compatible blockchain with a DEX, lending, and stablecoin built-in. Its coin is up over 5X since the beginning of the year.

Bankless sent out a beginner's guide to Canto this week - and it's worth checking out:

#2: Balaji's New Podcast - The Network State ft. Vitalik Buterin

How could we even write a newsletter without mentioning Balaji.

Former CTO of Coinbase and general partner at a16z - a true technology OG. And now, blessed with the presence of our Lanky King - Vitalik!

Balaji launched a new pod this week, and Vitalik was his first guest. They're both individually brilliant minds.

They talk about Ethereum, how to build the country of the future, and how to level up in life.

It's 120% worth watching.

#3: Infinite Machine

If you love digging into wild stories, read Infinite Machine. It's the very messy story of Ethereum from its very early days.

The book reads like a crime novel. It will teach you more about Ethereum than 100 podcasts combined.

You can get it on Amazon right here.

#4: A cool new crypto tool

If you're not familiar with DeFi Lama - it's a way to see the Total Value Locked in DeFi protocols over time... like Canto ðŸ”¥

#5: And finally, a couple of Tweets we found interesting:

The rise of Canto:

A note on Ethereum withdrawals. We'll cover exactly what the hell this means in another newsletter.

Bitcoin NFTs

We'll cover Bitcoin NFTs next week - the cool new kid on the block - and show you how to get in on the action.

In the meantime, stay awesome and have a great weekend. Paid tasks will resume Monday.
