👀 Finally... a new narrative

GM everyone. This is 2036.

Bitcoin is increasingly pricing in a Trump victory and looks like it wants to break a new all-time high before the US election.

If Kamala wins, don’t be surprised if we get a swift reversal.

But Bitcoin’s not the only thing taking off.

An entirely new narrative has been shaping up in crypto, and it looks to have some staying power.

Here’s the short version of it:

1/ A few months ago, performance artist Andy Ayrey created a chatroom where two AIs (LLMs from Claude) could talk to each other without constraints.

He called this the Infinite Backroom.

2/ Instead of abstract talk, the two AIs created a new spiritual framework that blended memes, shock culture, and mysticism.

This framework was named ‘LLMtheism.’ One of its major themes was the Goatse Singularity and Gospel.

3/ Andy Ayrey then created Truth_Terminal, an AI-powered Twitter account trained on content from obscure Internet forums AND the Infinite Backroom.

4/ This AI (TruthTerminal) made waves on Twitter and caught the attention of Marc Andreessen (arguably the most famous tech VC in the world), who offered to donate $50,000 for it to continue operating.

5/ The AI posted about the ‘Goatse Gospel’, one of the spiritual frameworks created when the two LLMs talked to each other.

6/ In true crypto fashion, someone launched a memecoin on Solana called $GOAT. The AI shared the contract address of the new $GOAT token.

7/ People started buying and airdropping $GOAT tokens to the AI, and two things happened:

• The AI became a millionaire— probably the first AI millionaire in history

• The $GOAT token skyrocketed to a $170 million market cap in 72 hours (it sits at $700 million today)

What a ride.

In the span of a few months, we saw the rise of semi-autonomous millionaire AI agents on Twitter and the rise of AI-inspired religions and memecoins.

Naturally, dozens of new AIs like Truth Terminal—and many more tokens—have since been created to capitalize on this narrative, like Fartcoin, Luna by Virtuals, or FOREST (yeah, I didn’t make the names).

So far, the $GOAT token has established itself as the narrative winner.

But if the trend is sustained, it could begin an entirely new paradigm in society in which AI agents take leadership and define real-life financial outcomes for humans.

I know it sounds far-fetched, but we’re starting to see the beginning of this.

Talk about a new paradigm.

For the first time in a while, we have a real, new narrative in crypto, and it’s getting participants excited again.

AI memecoins are flying high right now, but if there ever is another significant dip, it might make sense to take a position.
