What we most enjoyed this week

Yesterday, we wrote about Balaji Srinivasan's latest warning to the world.

Balaji is the former CTO of Coinbase and a general partner at a16z. His colleagues call him ā€œEinstein if he had the Internet.ā€

The last time Balaji gave a warning was in January 2020, before anyone knew what COVID was:

He was right.

His latest warning is, without a doubt, the most important thing you’ll read this week.

If it wasn't abundantly clear to you already, we are in the middle of a systemic banking crisis the likes of which we have never experienced in this country.

Despite this glaringly obvious fact Jamie Dimon, Joe Biden, Janet Yellen and Jerome Powell have all had the gall to "reassure" the American people that the banking system is stable.

Jerome Powell uttered the phrase, "the banking system is sound and resilient" literally two hours before PacWest announced that they were looking to get acquired by another bank.

Marty Bent, This Feels Like The End Game

If you want a quick overview of what’s happening in the banking system right now, check out this article.

It’s short, punchy, and to the point - just the way we like it.

Balaji’s bold claims are making heads turn.

Tim Ferriss and Kevin Rose (an NFT OG and serial entrepreneur) talk about it in their latest pod that came out this week.

If you’re not familiar with the whole saga, I highly recommend you check out this short extract from the podcast episode.

Balaji is the second-most famous Indian entrepreneur on tech Twitter.

Naval Ravikant is the first.

He’s famous for a Tweetstorm titled ā€˜How to Get Rich (Without Getting Lucky)’ and his 3-hour podcast on the topic.

But Naval was also early to Clubhouse, and in this episode, he explores how to invest in crypto, how to get rich slowly, how to prioritize your time, etc.

A Naval classic. It’s 100% worth it, so if you have some time this weekend, you won’t regret checking it out.

And now that we’re on the topic of podcast episodes, my wife and I watched AN ENTIRE podcast episode together this week (which is RARE) on all things sugar and mental health.. it was fascinating. You can check it out here.
