💰 The case for $500,000 bitcoin
what you buy when you make $10M
GM everyone, and happy Monday. This is 2036, the newsletter that pays you.
If you've ever watched The Social Network, you know who the Winklevoss (Winklevii?) twins are.

In real life, they actually look like this:

Yeah, don't ask me about the jacket.
The 6'5 Olympic rowers supposedly had the initial idea for Facebook. They told Mark Zuckerberg about it. He then allegedly stole their idea and built his now trillion-dollar empire.

Yeah, that's the bad boy right there. No regrets on that face.
In the end, Zuck and the twins settled for a cool $65 million.
In 2013, the fantastic duo announced they owned roughly $11 million worth of bitcoin. Rumors circulate that they bought bitcoin for as little as $8 a pop.
Ok so that's what your blazer looks like when your $10 million goes to $6 BILLION.
These days, the Winkelvii are in a different mess because of a crypto company they own. But that's a story for another time.
What you need to know is they've made quite a name for themselves in crypto. And a few years ago, they wrote a blog post titled "The Case for $500K Bitcoin".
It's pretty darn good and explains things like:
The problem with the US Dollar, with gold and with oil
How to value bitcoin and other cryptos
How they come to their $500K prediction
What they spent the remainder of the Facebook settlement check on
(Just kidding on the last one)
